MARIA LEISTER

Maria Leister, J.D. is Director of Education, Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma and Director of the Global Mental Heath Trauma and Recovery Course.

After shifting out of legal practice to focus her efforts on building and scaling immigration and criminal legal service organizations, Maria joined Harvard Law School as the director of a criminal defense clinic. Maria received her Juris Doctorate from Indiana University, Bloomington and was awarded a 2012 Harvard University Office of the President Fellowship.
