Transfer DNA to Obtain More Matches

Below are instructions on how to download your dna from the various DNA sites and uploading to FTDNA and Gedmatch

Download your raw DNA data from 23andMe, Ancestry, and/or MyHeritage.

Upload to FTDNA. Skip this step if you already tested with or have transferred data to FTDNA.

Upload to Gedmatch following these instructions (look for GEDmatch Upload Process that is about a quarter way down the page)

Join the 325KAMRA FTDNA project. You must log into your kit when joining the project. When requesting to join the project please type 'IKAA 2026' if attending. If not attending, put the reason why you are testing or who you are looking for. This is a required field.

If you are on Facebook, we encourage you to join DNA tested Korean Adoptee's and Korean War veterans and their children Facebook group where you can learn more about DNA and your search for family.

If you end up with a match of over 200 cms, please email familysearch@325kamra.org and we can see what we can do to assist.

If you want to obtain a DNA kit before the conference especially if you live in the US, go ahead and submit a request online via the google form on our website https://www.325kamra.org/korean-adoptees and we will get one shipped as soon as we can.

We would love to be able to facilitate a reunion for any immediate matches that result from transferring your DNA.
