Transfer DNA to Obtain More Matches

Below are instructions on how to download your dna from the various DNA sites and uploading to FTDNA and Gedmatch
Download your raw DNA data from 23andMe, Ancestry (if results processed before Nov 2025), and/or MyHeritage (if results processed before Oct 2025).
(Note: Please check FTDNA's resource on how to identify if the file will work or not).
All DNA file downloads will work for Gedmatch.
The downloads for these files are not usually immediate.
Create an account with FTDNA through their Autosomal Transfer Tool, fill out the form and upload your DNA file. Skip this step if you already tested with or have transferred data to FTDNA.
Join the 325KAMRA FTDNA project. You must log into your kit if you aren't already when using the link. Put the reason why you are testing or who you are looking for. This is a required field. Depending on what information is provided, a member of the FamilySearch team may reach out to you
Upload to Gedmatch following these instructions (look for GEDmatch Upload Process that is about a quarter way down the page)
